Monsoon in India

This year the 2008 the annual south west monsoon is not very successful so far. The monsoon stated right on time in June but faltered after that. It rained heavily in the
West Bengal and Orissa regions which are manly North East monsoon states. But Kerala and Karnataka which receive more than 50% share of the southwest monsoon remain pitifully empty this year. This results in the shortage of power supply in the three states of Kerala, Karnataka and Tamilnadu. I only hope the nuclear deal is put through as quickly as possible so that India can overcome power shortage problem permanently.
